Set up your workspace

A workspace holds your websites, your team and, for agencies, your clients.

  1. Sign in with the email you used to request early access (or buy a plan) and choose who the websites are for: your own company, or your clients as an agency.
  2. Companies enter their website, city and industry right there. Agencies add clients and their websites in Settings → Websites or on the Agency page.
  3. Invite your team in Settings → Team. Admins manage plans and billing; managers can do everything else.

Run your first audit

An audit reads your pages and scores the website for SEO, AEO and AI Visibility.

  1. Open Overview and click Run audit. It runs in the background, so you can close the tab. Large websites take longer.
  2. After the first audit, audits run on their own at your plan’s frequency, with an AI Visibility check every week in between.
  3. Check the industry card on the website page. The first audit confirms it, and the industry shapes your scores and recommendations.

Connect Search Console and Google Analytics

Read-only connections add real search and visit data to Analytics, Horizon, content ideas and monthly reviews.

  1. On the website page, follow the setup checklist: Connect your Google account, then choose this website’s Search Console property and Google Analytics property.
  2. Each person connects their own Google account. Properties must match the website’s domain.
  3. Disconnect any time on the Analytics page or the website’s Search Console tab, or in your Google account permissions.

Read your scores

Every score shows its band, the number now (needle) and where it was at the last audit (brass tick).

  1. SEO: how well Google can find and understand your pages. AEO: how well your pages answer the questions people ask. AI Visibility: how often AI assistants recommend you.
  2. Bands: Strong is 70 and up, Fair 40–69, and below 40 needs work.
  3. AI Visibility shows your trend over time for each AI tool, who AI recommends instead and why (the questions they win, the sources AI cites for them and what their website has that yours doesn’t), and, with Google Analytics connected, how many visitors each AI tool sends you and which pages they land on. Horizon shows what’s rising before it peaks, with recommended moves.

Improve and recheck

Recommendations are ranked by impact and come with the pages they affect.

  1. Work through the Recommendations tab on the website page. Open a recommendation to see each page and what to improve there. With Search Console or Google Analytics connected, each recommendation shows how much of your traffic its pages get, and the busiest pages come first.
  2. Connected to WordPress? On title and meta description recommendations, click Apply in WordPress next to a page to save the suggested text (you can edit it first) in Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress. On structured data recommendations, Get structured data gives you the code for that page to copy, or to add in WordPress with one click.
  3. When you’ve improved something, click Mark done. Hide recommendations that don’t apply to you.
  4. Click Recheck pages to re-read just those pages in a minute or two and see the SEO score move. AEO and AI Visibility update at the next audit.

Write content with the content agent

Drafts are written from your scores, gaps, rising searches and industry.

  1. On Content, pick from Content ideas and click Write draft. Edit it, then approve it (agencies: then the client approves in their portal).
  2. To send approved drafts to WordPress, open the website page’s WordPress tab, install the plugin and paste the connection key. Drafts arrive as WordPress drafts; you publish them.
  3. When you publish it in WordPress, it’s marked published here automatically (plugin 1.2 or later). Otherwise click Mark as published once it’s live, so its results are measured over the next 30 days.

Work with clients in the Observation DeckAgencies

For agencies: one place for each client, under your agency’s name.

  1. On the Agency page, open a client and click Invite client. They see a simple portal with what’s waiting for them, their scores, milestones, files, invoices and messages.
  2. Use Onboarding to send new clients a private link: intake questions, your contract to sign and a deposit (connect Stripe for online payment).
  3. Each month, generate a Monthly review, edit it and share it with the client.

Plans, billing and your data

Everything about your plan lives in Settings.

  1. Settings → Your plan shows your plan, lets you change it, opens Manage billing (card and invoices) and has Cancel plan. A cancelled workspace keeps its data for 30 days.
  2. Settings → Profile has Export my data and Delete my account.
  3. See Security and the privacy policy for how data is handled.
